Robert P. Powell
Robert Powell “Robbie” was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Upon receiving military Orders, his family relocated to Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Robbie was raised in Lawton, Oklahoma, and graduated from MacArthur Senior High School. He attended the University of Oklahoma receiving his bachelor’s degree in Letters in 1999. At the University of Oklahoma, Robbie was an active member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Upon his graduation from the Oklahoma City University of Law in 2002. While attending OCU, Robbie was an active member of the Phi Delta Phi and ABA Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Team.
Robbie began his legal career representing Oklahomans in all aspects of litigation. Prior to forming Shears Powell and Hanner, he worked as an associate and then partner for one of Oklahoma’s most respected defense firms, handling the defense of workers’ compensation claims ranging from standard to extremely complex claims. Robbie’s current clients consist of small business operations to large, respected employers and insurance carriers.
